About Me

My name is Vinicius Canabarro, I’m 24 years old and have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past 7 years. I’m a Brown belt under Tim Burrill in Providence, Rhode Island. Jiu jitsu is my passion. My ultimate goal is to become a world champion at black belt level.

For now I understand I need to put in the hard work at training and also at high level competitions. My training regime is usually the same year round. I train 7 days a week, 3 of those days are made up of triple sessions, s of those days I do double sessions that being two jiu jitsu sessions and one strength and conditioning and Sundays off to give my body recovery time. I teach as well twice a week in an affiliate school named Coventry Bjj. 2014 is the first year I took competing seriously. I started traveling and competing. I basically competed as much as I could afford this year. Competition fees and traveling plus stay at hotels are not cheap, especially for a full time athlete. I make very little money from bjj just enough to pay my tuition at my academy and to survive.

Ultimately I need to get sponsored by companies that would benefit from me advertising their name in such as competition, videos, social media , etc. At the moment any sponsorship help would be great, such as gear, supplements to help me keep up with my body and help with tournament fees and traveling.
